emPLE, a subsidiary of EverCorp Industries Limited, has officially commenced operations in Ghana following the successful acquisition of the former Metropolitan Ghana businesses in September 2025. This milestone marks the Group’s formal entry into the Ghanaian insurance market.
As part of the transition, Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana Ltd, Metropolitan Health Insurance Ghana Ltd, and Metropolitan Pensions Trust Ghana Ltd now operate under the emPLE Ghana brand.
For customers, there is no disruption. All existing and in-force policies remain fully valid, with no changes to benefits, terms, or service channels. emPLE Ghana continues to operate under the supervision of the National Insurance Commission (NIC) and all relevant regulatory authorities.
The transition introduces emPLE’s people-first approach, with customers set to experience refreshed digital touchpoints, simplified service processes, and upcoming product enhancements designed around everyday needs and realities.
The launch of emPLE Ghana reflects the Group’s confidence in Ghana’s growing insurance and pensions market. emPLE is focused on expanding access through innovation, financial education, and strategic partnerships across both the public and private sectors.
